Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation Announces Winner of 2010 Heritage Cup Poster Contest

Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SSVCF) is pleased to announce that Israel Acosta of San Jose is the winner of its 2010 Heritage Cup Poster Contest. Acosta will receive a cash prize of $250 and his entry, the first of three finalists shown from left to right on the contest webpage, will be the official poster for the 2010 Heritage Cup competition. "Thank you for the opportunity, it's really appreciated," Acosta said upon learning that he was the winner.

The Heritage Cup competition celebrates the heritage of those MLS clubs who retain monikers dating back nearly four decades to the old North American Soccer League, currently the San Jose Earthquakes and the Seattle Sounders FC, and in 2011 also the Portland Timbers and the Vancouver Whitecaps.  More information on the Heritage Cup competition can be found here. Photos from the inaugural 2009 competition are here.
